Tesla Roadster TAG Heuer

Pioneering luxury Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer and electric carmaker Tesla Motors have partnered up in celebration of the iconic Swiss brand's 150th anniversary, to produce the one-of-a-kind 2010 Tesla Roadster TAG Heuer - on display at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The collector's car features a unique interior by Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen, with TAG Heuer avant-garde design elements and a specially designed center console to host TAG Heuer's concept watch. The car also houses a TAG Heuer Meridiist mobile phone and a Heuer Limited Edition Stopwatch. This Swiss-made timepiece with mechanical movement pays homage to TAG Heuer's 1860 founding. The Gray Foucault Field Gray exterior embodies the companies' innovative spirit, inspired by the TAG Heuer concept watch, which introduces advanced art through motion. As a star brand from the luxury group and worldwide leader Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH), TAG Heuer has long been associated with automotive sector, beginning in 1911 with the patent for 'The Time of Trip', the first car dashboard chronograph. This has continued with the introduction of the Autavia in 1933 and the Meridiist - the latter a technically advanced mechanical movement that brings art to life. Since Tesla Motors began developing an electric sports car in 2004, it has become the only automaker selling such highway-capable cars. The Tesla Roadster accelerates faster than most supercars yet is twice as energy efficient as a Toyota Prius - with zero tailpipe emissions and lower carbon footprint than any other sports car. Over 1,000 cars have been delivered to 21 countries, making the Tesla Roadster the 'must-have' car for socially responsible trendsetters all over the world. Advertising Age magazine recently named Tesla one of America's "hottest brands." Relentless focus on technological innovation is an essential part of both TAG Heuer and Tesla Motors' success stories.
