Toyota Auris Space Concept
Designed from the inside out, Auris is a new concept from Toyota, that maximizes interior space and comfort while providing an engaging driving experience. This concept reflects Toyota's design philosophy of Vibrant Clarity, conveying a message of progress and energy whilst maintaining a purposeful and logical outlook.
"Auris space concept is tall and spacious. It has a high waistline, short overhangs, and a well-balanced cabin architecture that helps to maintain a sense of dynamism and agility; something we call 'perfect imbalance'," said Wahei Hirai, Toyota Global Design Managing Officer.
The interior design of Auris provides comfort and harmony between driver and passengers. The innovative sculpted bridged centre console is both ergonomically optimised and highly practical, allowing for an open area beneath it, resulting in an ambient and airy atmosphere.
The inside-out concept is reinforced by the addition of a panoramic glass roof, a flat rear passenger floor, and high window surfaces, all resulting in an extravagant amount of interior light and space.
Auris has a powerful and vertical exterior face that evokes a sense of nobility. The wide shoulders and short overhangs suggest a dynamic and engaging driving experience, which is further enhanced by styling such as the 19-inch alloy wheels, freeform geometric lamps, prominant brake callipers, and deep rear bumper with integrated chrome exhausts.
Finished with a striking gold exterior and interior piping that reflects its name (Aurum is the Latin name for gold), Auris fuses timeless sophistication and comfort with an optimistic attitude of progress.
