The 2010 Toyota Camry was debuted for the first time at the 2009 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). This popular car has continued to set a high standard when it comes to delivering comfort and performance, leading to the Toyota Camry being the best-selling passenger car in America for 7 years straight and 11 of the past 12 years. The 2010 Toyota Camry and Camry Hybrid models that are scheduled to go on sale in March 2009, come with a range of updates on both the exterior and interior. Externally, there's a redesigned grille and front bumper, an enlarged lower intake, larger projector headlamps, restyled tail lamps, wheel covers, and 16” and 17” alloy wheels. For the hybrid model, the changes include a new grille, bumper, wider lower intake, restyled fog lights, and 16” alloy wheels. The standard powertrain has been revamped for the 2010 model. There's a new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that's equipped with variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) and delivers 169 hp for the Toyota Camry, LE and XLE grades. For sporty performance, the SE grade gets additional tuning to up the output to 179 hp, which is 21 more horsepower than the previous four-cylinder engine. An optional 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers up to 268 horsepower is also available. For the interior, the 2010 Toyota Camry and LE grades are available with an optional audio system with a USB port, Bluetooth®, integrated satellite radio, and single CD and MP3 streaming music capabilities. All Toyota Camry models are equipped with standard Vehicle Stability Control with traction control, as well as auto up/down power windows with jam protection. The Toyota Camry Hybrid model comes with a newly designed meter cluster and Fraichir, a combination of silk protein and synthetic fiber, cloth seating surfaces. As an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV), the Toyota Camry Hybrid is certified to produce over 70 percent less smog-forming emissions than the average new car.
