Toyota Camry Solara Coupe
In 2004, the second generation of the Toyota Camry Solara Coupe was released, boasting an updated body style with curves. For engine options, it featured a 2.4L 16-valve 4-cylinder with 157 hp and a newly added 3.3L 24-valve V6 with 225 hp. Drivers had their choice of a manual 5-speed transmission for the 4-cylinder or a 5-speed E-shift automatic for the V6. Both had Toyota's VVT-i technology for better fuel economy and performance. The Solara with the V6 could reach 0-60 mph in under seven seconds and complete a quarter-mile in the early 15 seconds. Similarly, the 4-cylinder variant could get from 0-60 in between 8-9 seconds and complete a quarter-mile in the mid to late 16 seconds, depending on its transmission type. In 2006, the four-speed automatic transmission was dropped from the Solara altogether.
