Toyota FT-86 II Concept 2011 posters

Toyota FT-86 II Concept

Having made its world debut at the 2011 Geneva motor show, the Toyota FT-86 II Concept gives us an insight into the look and feel of Toyota's eagerly anticipated sports car. This new concept reflects the manufacturer's rich history of sports-car design, from the iconic 2000 GT in the 1960s, to today. The body of the FT-86 II has been created with 'functional beauty' in mind, combining bold sweeping lines with aerodynamics constraint. It is 4,235mm in length, 1,795mm wide and 1,270mm high, with a long wheelbase of 2,570mm. Powering the car is a free-revving boxer petrol engine, with a six-speed manual transmission and a low centre of gravity - providing the best power to weight ratio and promoting the handling capability of the car. The Toyota FT-86 II Concept is being co-developed with Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru), and will be coming to European roads in 2012.
