The Toyota Highlander has seen some significant updates for 2011, which include a refreshed exterior, extra standard amenities and state-of-the-art user technology. The 2011 Highlander is accessible in Base, SE and Limited grades in both two-wheel (2WD) and full-time four-wheel-drive (4WD) configurations. Furthermore, a 270-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 is standard in the Limited grade and available as an option in the other grades. The Hybrid models are built with four-wheel-drive with intelligence and come in Base and Limited grades.

The SE grade has a power liftgate and the Limited grade brings in 19-inch wheels and silver roof rails.
