Toyota's Hilux proves itself again as a resilient vehicle, having been tested in the toughest environment and even successfully reaching the Magnetic North Pole. Now, it is gearing up to deliver one more powerful punch. Its debut in the Commercial Vehicle Show will introduce the Hilux version that is set to be the most powerful pick-up on the UK market with 500 limited units.
Powered by the 3.0-litre D-4D engine of the Invincible model, it has a boosted maximum output of 194bhp (197 DIN hp) that reduces the 0 to 62mph acceleration from 13.0 to 10.5 seconds. It also features a higher torque of 430Nm (up from 343Nm) across 1,600 to 3,200rpm.
The Hilux is bestowed with a redesigned look—15-inch alloy wheels and stainless steel mesh grille—plus a two-tone grey leather interior with heated front seats. It will be available for purchase in the UK during the summer, and specific pricing and details will be announced on its release date.
