Toyota Australia has launched its first model from the TRD brand - the supercharged Toyota TRD Aurion, boasting 241kW of style, passion and performance. Locally designed and built, this vehicle is the most powerful Toyota to be seen in Australia, and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in a mere 6.1 seconds (speed-limited to 250km/h).
David Buttner, Toyota Australia's senior executive director sales and marketing, described the TRD Aurion as "Toyota plus": "The TRD involvement elevates Aurion's dynamic capabilities while retaining Toyota's traditional quality, durability and reliability. You've got Toyota - plus added style and performance."
Toyota Style Australia was behind the styling of the exterior and interior of the TRD Aurion, and the two available grades - 3500S (for sport - $56,990 RRP) and 3500SL (for sports luxury) - come with the same 241kW supercharged engine, sports suspension, performance brakes, 19-inch alloy wheels, TRD front/rear bumpers and side skirts, rear spoiler, sports seats, power driver's seat, alloy pedals, TRD scuff plates, air conditioning and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The 3500SL grade offers additional features such as Smart Entry and TRD Smart Start, full leather interior, clearance and reverse parking sonars, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, six-way power front passenger seat and TRD floor mats.
