Toyota unveiled the 2010 Toyota Tundra full-size pickup truck, along with a cutting-edge 4.6-liter V8 engine, at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show. Customers can get two new packages, such as the all-new Toyota Tundra Platinum Package and the recently announced Tundra Work Truck, to further enhance the value of the Tundra.
The new 4.6-liter V8, offering 310 horsepower, 327 lb-ft. of torque and up to 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway as estimated by Toyota, is predicted to be the most powerful and fuel-efficient standard V8 in the full-size pickup segment. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, it's available on all current Toyota Tundra models.
If you're looking for something with more refinement and extra convenience features, the 2010 Tundra offers a Platinum Package, available on the 5.7-liter V8 and Flex Fuel versions of the Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited. The package contains an abundance of features for a reasonable Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $5,140. It includes a Limited grade billet-style grille with chrome bumpers, exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels and tires, daytime running lamps, door sill protectors with a Platinum logo, and Platinum-branded badges.
