Toyota i-Real Concept 2007 posters

Toyota i-Real Concept

The Toyota i-REAL Concept is a personal mobility vehicle designed to be close to human scale, paving the way for commercialization in the near future. It follows on from the PM, i-unit and i-swing models and features three wheels - two at the front, and one at the back. In low-speed mode, it shortens its wheelbase, enabling it to move among people while taking up less space. When in high-speed mode, its wheelbase lengthens, giving it a lower centre of gravity and improved driving performance. Additionally, it is equipped with perimeter monitoring sensors which detect any potential collision with a person or object and alert both the driver and pedestrians around the vehicle by creating a noise and vibrating, as well as signaling its presence with pleasant light and sound.
