Toyota iQ 2009 posters

Toyota iQ

The Toyota iQ made its official debut at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, introducing a revolutionary new way to think about a car. With dimensions of less than three meters in length, Toyota engineers managed to fit four seats inside without compromising on interior comfort or driving fun. Toyota iQ is also incredibly efficient, boasting emissions levels as low as 99g/km. Chief engineer Hiroki Nakajima said of the iQ design concept: "My theory was that the group of people most suited to this car's style, small size and premium edge would be described as 'post-modern' - people who demonstrate independence in their choice of lifestyle and values." Like its hybrid brother, the Toyota Prius, the Toyota iQ stands as a major milestone for future vehicle development. With advanced powertrain technology and outstanding dynamics, Toyota iQ enables an answer to a more congested and environmentally conscious era. Orders for Toyota iQ are available now, with deliveries beginning in January of 2009. Expected full-year sales in Europe are estimated at around 80,000 units.
