Vauxhall Insignia

The Vauxhall Insignia exudes elegance with its sculpted form and technical precision, and flows aerodynamically thanks to its wing and blade themes that integrate with the car's sleek silhouette. Its body is emphasized with sweeping front and rear light design and sports a prominent radiator grille with Vauxhall's refreshed Griffin logo in a new, circular frame. As a result, the Insignia has a spectacularly low Cd of 0.27, making it one of the most fuel efficient, comfortable, and powerful cars available. The saloon and hatch models have an identical wheelbase of 2737mm, while the Sports Tourer adds a length of 4830mm. The Insignia will show up in UK dealerships by the end of 2008, offering a wide selection of two-diesel and three-petrol engines. An additional two powertrains - a 1.6-litre, 180PS petrol and a 2.0 CDTi BiTurbo with a maximum output of 190PS - will join the range with the Sports Tourer in 2009. An ecoFLEX version will also be available with lower C02 emissions. All powertrains come with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed auto transmission. New technology benefits dynamics and safety With the new features on the Vauxhall Insignia, drivers will be able to make the most of its dynamic capability and safety. Features such as FlexRide and Adaptive 4X4, available on selected models, will enable drivers to adjust their suspension settings, improve handling in all conditions, and increase stability. SRi models, on the other hand, come with an electronic limited slip differential that balances rear wheel torque left to right.
