Vauxhall Vectra VXR Estate

The Opel Vectra C, debuted at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show, was initially available as a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback, dubbed as GTS. A year later, the five-door estate version was introduced, having the same wheelbase as the estate and a "executive hatchback" which was sold as the Opel/Vauxhall Signum. This model was based on the Vectra C but had a different layout at the back. In order to accommodate for the increased weight of the Vectra C, the engine range was modified. The 90 kW (121 hp) 1.8 litre Family 1 Ecotec engine was used for the base model while the main petrol engine was the Ecotec 2.2 litre chain driven unit with 108 Kw (145 bhp). In 2003, there was a 2.0 litre turbocharged Ecotec model with 129 kW (173 hp) which only appeared in small numbers. Finally, a 3.2 litre 54-Degree V6 accommodated a power output of 155 kW (208 hp). The 2.2 litre unit was upgraded in 2004 with the 'Direct' name, which indicated the new high-pressure direct injection update that boosted the power output up to 115Kw (152 BHP), along with the improved emissions.
