Vauxhall Zafira Tourer Concept
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer Concept is set to make its world debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Combining luxury with the same level of flexibility associated with the Zafira name, the concept has an airy cabin with generous space for rear-seat passengers. Mark Adams, Vauxhall's Vice President of Design, commented about the concept: "We have transferred the idea of a relaxing lounge to a vehicle and created an automobile oasis, a place to relax and enjoy." The exterior of the concept is sleek, with flowing lines and a premium feel.
Ambient lighting bathes the spacious seven-seat cabin, which is illuminated by a panoramic windscreen and a glass roof at the back. The cabin is illuminated further by edge-lit LEDs and metallic particles embedded in the upper sections. The concept includes Vauxhall's Flex7 seating, which can be pushed into four-seat configuration to create limousine levels of space. In this configuration, the centre section of the second row can be folded down to reveal two armrests, while the outer seats can slide closer together and are equipped with extended footrests.
