Volkswagen Atlas R-Line
Volkswagen of America, Inc. has revealed that it will launch an R-Line package for the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas SUV. This robust trim comes with a slew of design elements to give it a sporty look. Coming to the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the R-Line package will be offered on the Atlas SE and SEL trims.
The exterior of the Atlas R-Line offers 20-inch aluminum-alloy twin-spoke wheels, R-Line badging, uniquely designed front and rear bumpers with stylish air intakes and diffusor in glossy black paint, and side skirts. Inside, drivers will find the R-Line logo on the start screen of Volkswagen's Modular Infotainment Platform (MIB II) as well as an R-Line steering wheel clip and stainless-steel sport pedal covers.
The Atlas R-Line will be offered with two engine options and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Buyers have the choice of a four-cylinder TSI® turbo with 235 horsepower or a V6 engine with 276 horsepower. Volkswagen's advanced 4Motion® all-wheel-drive system is available on V6-engined models. The Atlas models will go on sale in the Spring of 2017, with the R-Line package available later in the year.
