Volkswagen Golf GTI 25th Anniversary
1977 marked a cultural milestone with the passing of Elvis, the launch of Star Wars and The Smurfs, and the Queen's Silver Jubilee. That same year, the first
Volkswagen Golf GTI was registered in the UK and, now in its
fourth generation, it continues to be a popular choice with 67,000 unit sales across the country last year.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, Volkswagen will be releasing the GTI 25th Anniversary edition. This exclusive model will be available in a choice of two engines - a 1.8-litre 180 bhp petrol and 1.9-litre 150 bhp TDI PD diesel - and three colours - Tornado Red, Reflex Silver metallic and Diamond Black pearl effect - combined with red and black 'Le Mans' cloth upholstery.
This special edition will present a distinguished design with distinct bumpers, widened sills, a roof spoiler, chrome 90mm exhaust and unique GTI badging. Inside the cabin, elements such as Recarosports seats with GTI logo, aluminium pedals, diamond stitching on the leather steering wheel, red seatbelts and a handcrafted golf ball-shaped gearknob will compliment the luxurious interior. Moreover, only 2000 individually numbered models will be available.
