Volkswagen Lupo 3L TDI

The Volkswagen Lupo is a city car designed and manufactured by Volkswagen that was introduced to the market in 1998. It was created to fill a gap in the bottom of Volkswagen's model range after the larger and heavier Volkswagen Polo cars had become popular. Other vehicles in its category include the Ford Ka, Opel Agila and Fiat Panda. The Lupo was actually a modified version of the SEAT Arosa. This car came with a variety of engine sizes and trim levels from economical to the more upscale Volkswagen Lupo GTI model. This 6-speed version has been called the successor to the well-known Volkswagen Golf Mk.1, the first true hot hatch car. Interestingly, special-edition and test models have achieved incredible fuel efficiency records. The combination of the lightweight car and advanced 3-cylinder diesel engine has led to the Volkswagen Lupo 3L, which can use as little as 3 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres (78 miles per US gallon or 94 miles per Imperial gallon). This particular model even encouraged Renault to produce the Clio V6, since Renault presumed the 3L in the name signified a 3-litre engine. In 2005, production of the Volkswagen Lupo ceased and it has now been replaced by the Volkswagen Fox.
