Volkswagen New Beetle Ragster Concept
At the 2005 North American International Auto Show, Volkswagen unveiled the New Beetle Ragster Concept. A Ragster is the combination of a ragtop and a speedster, and applied to the New Beetle, the concept took the convertible model and made some considerable changes. The roof was chopped into a distinctive U-shape and the paint job was given two silver stripes. The interior was modified to make it a 2+2, while the dashboard was adorned with retro-style control dials and a rear-view mirror mounted on its surface. Much lower in profile than the standard New Beetle, it was intended to give a glimpse of the Beetle of the future.
