Volkswagen Polo GTI
The iconic Volkswagen Polo GTI is making a bold return with 132 kW / 180 PS power. Boasting excellent handling capabilities married to unrivaled engine mechanics and safety, the VW Polo GTI is equipped with some of the most advanced features. The new car features a 1.4-litre TSI with petrol direct injection and both turbo- and supercharging, and is connected to a 7-speed DSG transmission as standard. Its electronic transverse differential lock (XDS) reduces understeeering and ensures a better response while driving.
The VW Polo GTI comes in 3 and 5-door versions, weighing 1,184 kg, and reaches 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds while maintaining a maximum speed of 229 km/h. It is the most fuel efficient and lowest emitting GTI yet, consuming just 6.0 litres per 100 kilometres, equivalent to CO2 emissions of 139 g/km. Compared to its direct predecessor with 180 PS 1.8-litre turbo engine, which consumed 7.9 litres per 100 kilometres (equivalent to 188 g/km CO2), the new GTI is 25 percent more fuel-efficient. Additionally, it is the first Polo to come with bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running light and cornermarker light, as well as a panoramic tilt/slide sunroof.
