Volkswagen Touareg R GT
The Volkswagen Touareg R GT is an impressive vehicle, engineered by HPA Motorsports. With a powerful 500-bhp, 3.2-liter Twin Turbo MPI V6 engine, and a Twin Turbo conversion Package featuring dual Garrett GT25R ball-bearing-based turbochargers, dual proprietary HGP exhaust manifolds, a cast aluminum short runner intake manifold, an integrated air to water intercooler, dual 3-in. (70-mm) ceramic-coated down pipes, and an upgraded fuel system, it is no wonder it is one of the most sought-after cars. Additionally, it features a quad by-pass emissions-legal exhaust system, 4XMOTION® system, KW Variant 3 Coilover suspension, and Brembo Performance brake system including 380 x 34-mm front discs with Brembo 8-piston monobloc calipers, and 330 x 30-mm rear discs. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The exterior has been equipped with a striking silver body, 22 x 10-in. custom-built forged aluminum mono-block Avus® wheels, Michelin Diamaris 295/30R22 tires, and a full Volkswagen Individual body kit. Volkswagen Design Center California (DCC) has also recommended a W12 interior option, featuring W12 front Sport buckets, black leather seats with grey suede centers, Bugatti spun aluminum trim pieces, dual black Apple iPods in the cupholders, dual black Sony PSP in seatbacks, and a Schroth® Rally 4, Autocontrol II, and Autocontrol III harness system.
The basic car for conversion is a 2005 Touareg V6 with 6-speed Automatic and 4XMOTION system.
