Volkswagen Touareg V6 TDI with Exclusive Equipment
The Volkswagen Touareg is an upscale 4x4 (SUV) vehicle manufactured by Volkswagen, making it the first of its class produced by the company. Volkswagen designed the Touareg with Porsche with the intention of having a cost-efficient platform for both companies. This platform became the basis of the Cayenne SUV, although they have various design, technical, and equipment discrepancies. In addition, the Touareg replaced the Eurovan model for all North American markets.
The Touareg was highly praised by many automobile magazines, such as Car and Driver Magazine's "Best Luxury SUV for 2003", Motor Trend Magazine's "Sport/Utility of the Year for 2004," "Four Wheeler" Magazine's "Four Wheeler of the Year for 2005," and Overlander's "2003 4WDOTY."

+ 313 PS (230 kW, 308 hp) 5.0 L diesel V10, 750 N·m (550 ft·lbf)
+ 450 hp (331 kW) 6.0 L gasoline W12, 599 N·m (442 ft·lbf) (somewhat limited-edition. Not available in the US)
The Touareg's twin-turbocharged diesel V10 engine has a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 7.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 130 mph (230 km/h). Unfortunately, emissions regulations kept the engine off the United States market from 2004 to 2005; however, Volkswagen is working to meet these requirements so the V10 engine can once again be offered in the US.
