Volkswagen Neeza Concept
Shanghai Volkswagen showcased the Neeza concept car at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. This hybrid of a sports coupé and an estate with an off-road vibe is designed in China and reflects traditional Chinese and modern European features. The front of the concept sports a Volkswagen-style grille and bumper with Chinese window engravings, while the rear is both sporty and functional.
The interior of the Neeza is roomy and comfortable: its front seats swivel so passengers can face each other, and access to the rear seating is straightforward with rear-facing doors. Additionally, the large panoramic roof offers natural lighting. Rather than a radio, navigation system, or other infotainment equipment, the Neeza has a 'Magic Box' that functions as an interface for radio and navigation systems, a mobile phone, personal organiser, and other devices.
The name Neeza derives from 'Ne-zha', a legendary figure in Chinese history who had magical weapons and fought evil spirits.
