Volvo C30 Design Concept

The Volvo C30 Design Concept is an elegant two-door, four-seater with a glass tailgate that made its debut at the 2006 Detroit Motor Show. It boasts a sleek, modern look in a striking combination of two colors; Quite White and Very Bronze; and takes inspiration from the Volvo Safety Concept Car. According to Volvo Cars Design Director Steve Mattin, “Our aim was to give the Volvo C30 Design Concept a hefty dose of muscles in a sporty and compact package.” The car has a dynamic front, highlighted by angled headlamps and a low, wide grille. Looking along the side, the defined wheel arches and sloping roofline give it a fast silhouette, intensified by the boat shape of the glasshouse. The ES-inspired tailgate further enhances the car's design with its curving rear shoulders, horseshoe-shaped tail light pattern, and light-filled glass top. Inside, the car's interior amplifies its sporty character, featuring distinctive individual rear seats with ample legroom, making the car a full four-seater. The centrally-positioned rear seats grant the back passengers an aura of space, along with good visibility to the front. All in all, the Volvo C30 Design Concept truly embodies the modern spirit of style and safety.
