Volvo Heico S80 SEMA Concept

At the 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV, the Volvo Heico Sportiv S80 T6 High Performance Concept (HPC) made its dazzling debut, reflecting its power and sophistication in its unique 7-layer "aluminum effect" body paint. The S80 T6 HPC is more than just an eye-catching vehicle—it is a true demonstration that a powerful luxury sedan can also be eco-friendly. Heico President Holger Hedtke spoke of the honor of working with Volvo Cars for the second year in a row, saying of the S80 T6 HPC, "It is our most advanced concept to date and it's one that Heico is extremely proud of." The team worked quickly to bring the S80 T6 HPC to life, beginning as soon as last year's SEMA show ended. Bringing the S80 to Heico's shop in Weiterstadt, Germany, the team had to equip the 3.2-liter inline-six engine with front-wheel drive as, at the time, production had yet to begin on the standard Volvo S80 T6. However, a new T6 engine was delivered from Sweden to bring the concept to 350-horsepower, running on bioethanol fuel.
