The Volvo S60 has been further developed to heighten its already sporty profile. Design-wise, the front spoiler (optional) has been revised with a more prominent and protruding contour at the base. On some variants, the front spoiler, including the sills and rear lower bumper, can be colour-coordinated with the body of the car. Also, the boot lid can be specced with a stylish new wing spoiler. Speaking of design, the 2007 model also sports a new grille with a bigger and more prominent Volvo emblem in the form of a classic-yet-refreshed iron mark. The door mirrors come equipped with integrated side indicators, plus a handy new indicator feature has been introduced: a brief press of the lever causes the indicator to flash three times. The three fresh exterior paint shades - Electric Silver, Orinoco Blue and Maple Red - offer greater personalisation choices alongside the new three aluminium wheels - Nodus (7x16 inches), Tucana (7.5x17 inches) and Eudora (8x18 inches).
"We're making the S60 even sportier in every respect," says Gerry Keaney, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service "We've both spiced up the design and fine-tuned the chassis to create a car with even greater driving appeal."
Sportier interior with metal decor trim and twin-tone leather upholstery
The cabin has a few new elements, including the optional Grid Aluminium metal decoration panels designed to create a 3-dimensional effect and a more physical feel. Aluminium details have been integrated to the air intake controls, column stalks and steering wheel, alongside the new optional sports three-spoke steering wheel in perforated leather. For a sportier vibe, the instrument panel can optionally be fitted with the same watch-like instruments featured in the Volvo S80 and the sporty Volvo S60 R model, plus there is the choice of an interior rear-view mirror with a built-in compass. The choice of upholstery has also been refreshed with an optional sporty leather upholstery featuring two contrasting shades and textures with matching stitching.
