Volvo S80
The Volvo S80 has been updated with a number of new design details creating a new, prestige look and feel. Steve Harper, the designer behind the new look of the Volvo S80 commented: “All new parts are like cut diamonds, precious gems. Correctly designed and placed in the appropriate setting, they forge a powerful image of elegance and prestige.”
The front end of the car has been refined, including a new profile of the front section which frames the grille, re-profiled lower air intake, and larger fog lamps linked with a transverse chrome strip. Chrome details, like matching door handles and a moulding under the side windows, have been added to enhance its look. To improve air drag and reduce dirt accumulation, the door mirrors have been redesigned.
The back of the Volvo S80 has also been redesigned for an overall higher quality and distinct style. A single-piece bootlid incorporates a handle with chrome trim above the number plate, increasingly smaller brake lamps that are activated quickly, and a panel between the lights and bumper featuring a slim chrome strip with a colour-matched panel along either side. The rear bumper has a more substantial profile and is painted in the same colour as the car's body, with the exception of the dark grey panel at its base.
