Volvo XC90 Sport
In response to customer demand, Volvo Car Corporation has created the Volvo XC90 Sport to expand the XC90 range. Providing drivers with dynamic handling, a unique look, and exclusive features, this vehicle will offer an enjoyable and desirable driving experience.
"We noticed a need for a sportier XC90 from our customers," states Karin Falk, head of Special Vehicles at Volvo Cars. "These drivers desire the versatility and comfort of an SUV but also seek a bit more thrill. We crafted the Volvo XC90 Sport with this in mind, equipping it with a dynamic sport chassis, stiffer anti-roll bars, firmer shock absorbers, a sport-tuned, speed-dependent steering system, and larger, 19" wheels," explains Falk.
Sporty driving characteristics with a stiffened chassis
In addition to the XC90 Sport's sporty style, the chassis has been enhanced to deliver an exhilarating drive. This includes a reinforced shock absorber system as well as anti-roll bars to offer superb stability even when cornering. Additionally, the speed-dependent steering system has been modified to provide responsive control of the vehicle, while the Nivomat self-levelling system will come standard on both the five and seven seat models.
"The XC90 Sport provides a unique driving experience," explains Falk. "Its performance is incomparable to other Volvo SUVs. Despite its abilities, it does not sacrifice ride comfort. We've achieved the perfect blend of stability and the capacity to absorb any roughness in the road."
