Audi A6 3.0 TDI quattro

The Audi A6 of the Typ 4F model range was released in 2004, having been designed by Satoshi Wada two years prior. Visually, it is an evolution of the C5 and is 200mm longer as the new style 'single-frame grille' made it's debut. It also features Audi's iconic 'tornado line' that runs the length of the body from the front to rear lights. The C6 iteration of the A6 offers superior technology, included the Multi Media Interface (MMI) which acts as a control panel for in-car entertainment, navigation, climate control and even car settings such as suspension configuration, all operating through a single screen. A more streamlined dashboard came about due to the replacement of the wealth of silver buttons that were made redundant. The internal combustion engines are powered by Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) direct injection and all are completely new, with options including a six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission and the iconic quattro four-wheel drive feature that is standard for all powerful models. Multitronic or quattro are not available to front-wheel drive models, while the six-speed manual gearbox is only found in the V6 version with the North American market being an exception. The Avant arrived in 2005, whilst the A6 allroad quattro was unveiled a year later with V6 petrol and diesel engines and the 3.2L V6 and 4.2L V8 petrol engines. As the car won both the World Car of the Year award in 2005 and the Practical Caravan "Towcar of the Year", it is no wonder as to why it's array of towing features make it industry leading, such as adjustable suspension height and damping, and the inclusion of 123 Trailer Stability Programme.
