Audi Coupe GT
The Audi Coupe GT was an entry-level 2-door sports car manufactured and marketed by Audi from 1981 to 1987. This model provided customers with a more affordable alternative to the turbocharged & all-wheel drive Audi Quattro, but featured a similar physical appearance minus the apparently sharp edged fender flares. The biggest modifications from the Quattro to the GT were the installation of an un-turbocharged 5-cylinder engine and a front-wheel drive drivetrain.
Subsequently, the Audi Coupe range was equipped with the quattro All-Wheel Drive system starting in late 1984 to produce the Audi Coupe quattro, an edition which proved to be rarer than the Turbocharged Quattro.
