BMW 330i M-Package
The BMW E90/E91/E92/E93 series is the fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars, boasting an impressive range of body styles: four-door sedan/saloon (E90 model code), estate/wagon (E91 model code, marketed as "Touring"), coupé (E92 model code) and cabriolet (E93 model code). As the separate model codes for each style mean, the term "E9X" is often used to relate to this generation of the 3 Series.
Introduced in 2004, the range began with the sedan and estate body styles. The coupe followed in 2006, and the cabriolet made its debut in 2007. Then, in 2012, the E90/E91 sedans and wagons were replaced by the BMW F30/F31 models, while the E92/E93 coupes and cabriolets remained on production until 2013, when they were eventually superseded by the BMW F32/F33 models.
The 2006 BMW 335i became the first 3 Series to be sold with a turbocharged petrol engine, adding further power to the range. The E90 also marked the introduction of run-flat tyres to the 3 Series range - these cars can therefore be identified by not having a spare wheel or tyre.
Topping off the range is the BMW E90/E92/E93 M3, released in 2007 and available in sedan, coupe and cabriolet body styles. It was powered by the BMW S65 v8 engine.
The US and Canadian 3 Series blends started with the 325i/xi and 330i/xi models and later received engine boosts with the debuts of the 2007 328i/xi and 335i/xi. The Canadian market also had an additional trim, the 323i RWD sedan. This can be distinguished by its lack of points such as Xenon headlamps, fog lamps, automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats, satellite navigation, premium audio, and Dakota leather upholstery. But moving up the scale, the 323i was offered with optional sunroof, heated front seats, Bluetooth, and USB input, all of which constitute standard equipment on the higher spec trims. Finally, in 2011, the BMW 323i Luxury Edition was created, featuring an automatic transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, electric front seats, Bluetooth and USB compatibility, and an electric glass sunroof.
