Cadillac CTS
The Cadillac CTS takes the brand's legacy of technology and design to a new level. It is a modern representation of the models that are legendary to Cadillac. For the 2006 model year, the CTS has exterior and interior refinements along with the addition of a new transmission feature. Five-speed automatic transmission is equipped with Driver Shift Control for the first time, giving drivers the ability to pick gears manually. It is also available with a six-speed manual transmission and two six-cylinder engines: the 2.8-liter (158 kW/215 hp) and 3.6 liter V6 (189 kW/257 hp).
Its bold, accented contours and sharp design are powered by GM's acclaimed Sigma rear wheel-drive architecture. Distinguishing characteristics include vertical headlamps and tail lamps, reminiscent of the 1965 Cadillac design. Integrated headlamps portray the high-tech optics of high-end cameras.
The long body is further emphasised by substantial wheel arches and a sculpting undercut in the metal, highlighting the 16-inch and 17-inch aluminium wheels. The two-tone design of light upper and dark lower sections gives more sensation to the perceived length of the vehicle. Radiant Bronze, Blackberry, and Infrared shades complete the exterior of the 2006 CTS.
