The brand logo is based on the coat of arms of Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac. The last modification of the logo took place in 2014. The legendary wrath was withdrawn and the crest became lower and wider. The company’s executive director stated that such a new design would suit their new lower, longer, leaner car designs more.
Cadillac is one of the oldest car brands in the world and the second one in the US, after Buick. The brand was founded in 1902 by engineer Henry M. Leland and named after Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac, Leland’s ancestor. Just the same year, the first car was presented.
In 1909, the brand was bought by General Motors. In 1938, the company produced Cadillac 60 Special, which design set the direction of the whole next decade.

The first car air conditioning system in the world was used in Cadillac in 1930. And in 1964, the system of climate control was introduced.
