Chevrolet Monte Carlo Looney Tunes

For 2000, Chevrolet drew on GM Motorsports for design inspiration, as well as designs of previous Monte Carlos. Iconic features included the stylized wheel flares, vertically oriented tail lamps, and a stylized rear bumper. The "Knight" badging also returned, along with a full gauge cluster not seen since 1988. Replacing the Z34 designation of the fifth generation, the Super Sport moniker was back on the Monte Carlo. At the request of racing teams, Chevrolet stylists added a slight "hump" on the rear trunk - reminiscent of a Lincoln Mark VIII. This aerodynamic styling and duck tail spoiler came from the NASCAR circuit. The 6th Generation Monte Carlo was based on The Monte Carlo Intinidator Concept. Specialty nameplates In 2002, Chevrolet released the Dale Earnhardt "Intimidator Edition" in two color schemes; black with galaxy silver rocker panels and front/rear air dams, and a completely black body with black ground effects and thin red stripe. The Intimidator badge with the number 3 and Earnhardt's signature were placed on the car, as well as the Intimidator SS badges on the right side of the trunk and the Monte Carlo SS badges at the bottom of the vehicle. This edition, featuring 5-spoke diamond-cut wheels and the L36 3800 V6 engine, also had an all black (charcoal) leather interior.
