Fiat Seicento 2004 posters

Fiat Seicento

The Fiat Seicento was first released in 1998 as a successor to the Fiat Cinquecento and quickly gained popularity as a city car. It featured similar dimensions and chassis to the Cinquecento, though it was slightly longer at a total length of 3.34m. Similarly, it featured the same 3-door hatchback body unlike the 5-door mini MPV look seen on many Korean city cars. Fiat's factory in Bielsko-Biala, Poland was responsible for the production of the Seicento until Summer of 2001, having sold nearly 377,000 of them. Two engine options were available - the now-discontinued 900cc OHV (29 kW / 40 PS) and the 1.1 L FIRE (40 kW / 54 PS). Variations included the SX (luxury) and Sporting (sporty) versions. There was also a version with an electric engine (30 kW / 41 PS). An anti-lock braking system has been included since 2001. The Fiat Seicento was tested by the EuroNCAP crash and received only one star, making it one of the worst contenders in EuroNCAP history. This is unsurprising since many of its components were first designed back in 1992 and it features a very short front end.
