Ford Mustang Shelby GT-350H

The 1965-1966 Shelby GT-350H is renowned for its small size and light weight, earning it the moniker "Cobra". Featuring the K-Code 271 hp (202 kW; 275 PS) 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine, it was marketed as the "Cobra Hi-Riser" due to its high-riser intake manifold, modified to produce 306 hp (228 kW; 310 PS). To promote the car, a similar paint scheme and optional "Cobra" valve covers were made available. The 1965 G.T. 350 was built for performance rather than comfort, with only 34 'G.T. 350R' cars being created for racing purposes and going on to become the B-Production champion for three consecutive years. Complementing the 1966 G.T. 350 were features such as rear seats, various colors, and an optional automatic transmission for casual drivers. From then on, the cars began to become larger, heavier, and more comfortable, gradually losing their competitive advantage. By 1969, Carroll Shelby was no longer connected to the Shelby GT program and the design was done simply by Ford.
