Holden Astra CDXi 5door

The fifth generation AH Astra of 2004 was sold as a five-door hatchback, made in Belgium, while the TS Astra sedan and hatchback were manufactured in Poland and sold under the name "Astra Classic". Daewoo Lacetti models were briefly made available in Australia in 2003-2004 before Holden withdrew the brand. The AH Astra scored a four-star ANCAP crash safety rating, with the higher-spec models having extra safety equipment to reach the five-star rating. Holden discontinued imports of the Astra in 2009 citing currency and commodity issues. They opted to focus on the Holden Cruze instead. Model year changes include: MY05 - the range expanded with the addition of the Astra station wagon; MY06.5 - a turbodiesel hatchback (CDTi) and head-protecting side curtain airbags were added as standard; MY07 - the Astra SRi and Twin Top convertible were released; MY07.5 - a facelift and engine upgrade; MY08 - the five-door SRi was deleted; MY08.5 - electronic stability control as standard; MY09 - the CD and CDX models reverted to black bezel projector-style headlamps. Specification levels included CD (base with Z18XE engine [later Z18XER]); CDX (16 inch alloy wheels, cruise control, trip computer, six-stack CD player); CDXi (MY06 only, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, climate control air conditioning, curtain airbags); CDTi (diesel-powered version of CDX); SRi (sport model with leather seats, climate control, 17-inch alloys); SRi Turbo (2.0-litre Z20LER engine). Special editions featured the 60th Anniversary, with 15-inch alloys, steering wheel radio and ESC, and the CD Equipe, which offered 15-inch alloys, cruise control and rear power windows at no extra cost from 2006 until 2007.
