Honda Civic Si Racecar
The 8th-generation Civic is equipped with a "two-tier" instrument panel, featuring a digital speedometer, coolant temperature, and fuel display at the top, and a tachometer in the lower tier. Additionally, the Civic Hybrid features IMA Assist and Charge indicators on its display that can be adjusted and saved independently.
The Honda Civic Si offers a sportier experience than the standard Civic and comes with several upgrades. It has a 2.0-litre DOHC four-cylinder K-series engine with i-VTEC variable valve timing system, producing 197 horsepower (147 kW). Other features include a 350 Watt, 7-speaker sound system with subwoofer, helical limited-slip differential, close ratio 6-speed gearbox, upgraded brakes, 17-inch alloy wheels with optional Michelin summer tires, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, aluminum racing pedals, sport seats with Si-branded fabric, and a rear wing and red backlit gauges. This edition also comes with standard VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) from 2007 and TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) from 2008.
In the fall of 2007, the 2008 Honda Civic Mugen Si was introduced, featuring no engine modifications relative to the standard Si. A total of 1000 Mugen Si cars were produced exclusively for the North-American market.
