Kia has released a package of enhancements to all models of its European-designed, European-engineered and European-made cee'd family. This includes the five-door cee'd, three-door pro_cee'd, roomy cee'd Sportswagon, and lively cee'd GT and pro_cee'd GT. It also features new powertrains which bring major improvements in efficiency and emissions, modified chassis settings, and styling and trim modificiations. Furthermore, significant driver assistance features and connected car services are also added. The first shipments of the improved cee'd family will arrive in UK dealerships on October 1, 2015, with prices starting from £14,905 (cee'd), £15,250 (pro_cee'd), and £16,750 (Sportswagon). The pro_cee'd GT is priced at £23,105 and the cee'd GT at £23,605.

New EcoTurbo petrol and CRDi diesel engines

The cee'd family will be available with Kia's advanced new 1.0-litre ecoTurbo petrol engine and new 1.6-litre CRDi diesel, plus a seven-speed double-clutch (7-DCT) automatic gearbox. These 998cc three-cylinder units, revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, are the result of in-house development at Kia's Namyang research and development facility in Korea, and they have been engineered to require 10 to 15 percent less fuel than the 1.4-litre multi-point injection or 1.6-litre GDi units of other cee'd models, with the same reductions in emissions. Depending on the model, fuel economy can reach 57.6mpg, with CO2 emissions as low as 113g/km.
