Airflow
The bottom of the 911 Carrera is designed to directed air around the car for improved aerodynamics. Small, flexible spoilers in the front and rear wheel arches minimize drag and lift. A rear underbody cover also controls the air around the back of the car without impacting heat release or access to the powertrain.
In the liquid-cooled Porsche 911 Carrera, the dual radiators are located in front, beneath the bumper. Cool air is ducted into them and heated air escapes just ahead of the wheels. When needed, electric fans further push away the warm air.
