Porsche 911 GT2

The Porsche 911 GT2 is the fastest member of the 911 family, combining the sporting character of the 911 GT3 and the performance of the 911 Turbo. Its impressive specs offer an acceleration of 0-100 km/h (62mph) of 4.1 seconds and the top speed of 315 km/h (195 mph). On the northern circuit of Nürburgring, the 911 GT2 is capable of a lap time of 7:47 minutes, faster even than the GT3. The power unit featured in the car is a highly advanced version of the six-cylinder horizontally opposed engine that was present in the 911 Turbo. The two turbochargers have an increased air throughput that enables an increase in charge pressure to 2 bar, resulting in a 3.6-litre engine with an output of 340 kW (462 bhp) and a torque of 620 Newtonmetres (457 lb-ft) at 3500 rpm. The GT2 was designed with an emphasis on sporting power and performance as well as weight reduction, with the car weighing in at 1440 kilos (3175 lb) which is 100 kg (221 lb) less than 911 Turbo, providing an optimal power-to-weight ratio of 4.23 kg/kW (12.68 lb/bhp).
